Refund & Returns Policy

This policy applies to all purchases made from Da Vinci Reno Inc. (operating as Da Vinci Plastics) at davinci-plastics.com. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

1.General Return & Refund Policy

Standard Return Window: Most unopened, unused products may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a refund, minus a restocking fee.

  • Restocking Fee: A 25% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount to cover processing and restocking costs.
  • Return Shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using tracked shipping.
  • Condition Requirement: Items must be in original, unused condition with original packaging intact.
  • Inspection: We reserve the right to inspect all returned goods. If items show signs of use, damage, or wear, the return may be denied or a higher restocking fee applied.
  • Timeline: Refunds are processed within 10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.

2.Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund (with exceptions for defects — see Section 4):

  • Custom-cut or custom-fabricated items: Any product cut to a non-standard dimension or fabricated to your specifications cannot be returned, as it cannot be resold.
  • Opened, used, or installed products: Products that have been opened, used, partially used, or installed cannot be returned.
  • Damaged by customer: Items damaged due to mishandling, improper storage, or customer negligence.
  • Packages opened after delivery: Once opened and inspected beyond reasonable verification of contents, items cannot be returned.

3.Order Cancellations

  • Pre-fulfillment cancellations: Orders can be cancelled before fulfillment begins with a 10% administration fee (non-refundable). Contact us as soon as possible to request cancellation.
  • Custom-cut orders: Once production of a custom-cut or custom-fabricated order has commenced, cancellation is not permitted. The full order value will be invoiced and shipped.
  • Standard stock items: We will attempt to cancel orders for standard items before they ship, but we cannot guarantee cancellation once the order enters fulfillment.
  • To request a cancellation, email info@davinci-plastics.com immediately with your order number.

4.Defective or Damaged Products

What qualifies as defective: Manufacturing defects, material defects, or damage that occurs during manufacturing or shipping (not damage caused by the customer).

  • Notification period: You must notify us in writing within 7 business days of delivery with clear photographic evidence of the defect or damage.
  • Return requirement: Defective items must be returned to us within 30 days of purchase, at the customer's expense, in original packaging if possible.
  • Resolution: Upon receipt and inspection, if a manufacturer defect is confirmed, we will, at our discretion: (a) issue a full refund, (b) ship a replacement at no charge, or (c) provide a partial refund.
  • Restocking fee waived: If the defect is confirmed, the 25% restocking fee will be waived for defective items.
  • Manufacturer warranty: For defects covered under the polycarbonate manufacturer's warranty, we will facilitate the claim on your behalf.
  • Liability limitation: Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the item. We accept no liability for installation costs, labor, consequential losses, or indirect damages.

5.Delivery Damage or Shortages

  • Inspection requirement: Inspect your delivery carefully before signing the carrier's receipt. Note any visible damage or shortages on the receipt at time of delivery.
  • Carrier claims: If the package arrives visibly damaged, you may file a claim directly with the shipping carrier. We can assist with this process if needed.
  • Report timing: Report delivery damage or shortages to us in writing within 7 business days of delivery with photographic evidence, tracking info, and the delivery receipt.
  • Resolution: Upon verification, we will either ship a replacement at no charge or issue a full refund (no restocking fee for carrier damage).
  • Documentation: Clear photos of the damaged packaging, damaged product, and the delivery receipt are required to process claims.

6.How to Request a Return or Refund

  1. Email info@davinci-plastics.com with: order number, reason for return, photos (if applicable), and proof of purchase.
  2. We will respond within 3 business days with approval status and, if approved, return shipping instructions.
  3. Do not ship items back without prior written approval. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
  4. Once we receive your return, we will inspect the item and process your refund within 10 business days.
  5. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.).
